Ravens Pressuring Manning, Ed Nabs 2nd Pick

The Ravens seem to be getting in Peyton Manning’s head a little bit, as safety Ed Reed snared the second interception of the game on a jump ball deep down the sideline.

Manning was pressured by a good rush up the middle by Dwan Edwards and Haloti Ngata and threw high for wideout Reggie Wayne.  Covered by Domonique Foxworth, Wayne reached up, but Reed was there like a center fielder to haul in the pass.

Maybe he took a page out of the Adam Jones playbook, as the Baltimore Orioles center fielder is in attendance and was on the sideline in a Johnny Unitas jersey.

Ever the playmaker, Reed took off with the football and gained 42 yards before he was brought down.

Credit the Ravens’ pass rush for setting the pick up, because it has been strong all game.  The fans also deserve a tip of the cap, because the deafening noise caused Manning to burn another time out, the second time that’s happened today.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, the turnover only resulted in a 38-yard field goal by Billy Cundiff, his third of the game.
