The Ravens’ blogosphere is buzzing with concern over the team’s lack of free-agency movement.

Baltimore has lost five unrestricted free agents, including three starters.

The Ravens have reportedly hosted three free agents – guard Evan Mathis, defensive end Mark Anderson and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. – and have yet to ink any. Mathis hauled in a reported $25.5 million for five years from Philadelphia. Anderson got a reported four-year, $27.5 million deal from Buffalo.

Besides re-signing center Matt Birk, Baltimore hasn’t made any moves of note yet.

Ravens President Dick Cass likely eased some nerves this morning when he spoke to business owners of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore at their annual breakfast.

“Don’t worry about our lack of activity in free agency,” Cass said. “We’ll find good players at good values.

“Remember where we were last July heading into the 2011 season. We found able replacements and had a strong season.”

Last year, Baltimore parted ways with two of the team’s all-time leading receivers, Derrick Mason and Todd Heap. Defensive tackle Kelly Gregg and running back Willis McGahee were also released. Safety Dawan Landry, guard Chris Chester and cornerback Josh Wilson signed bigger deals elsewhere.

The Ravens made late bargain signings with running back Ricky Williams, safety Bernard Pollard, tackle Bryant McKinnie and center/guard Andre Gurode. Each played an integral role during the season.
