A few hundred bystanders in downtown Baltimore got quite the shock Saturday night.

Ravens Cheerleaders Flash Mob

The Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders put together a flash mob at Power Plant Live! at 10:15 p.m., busting out not only their dance moves. but aerial acrobatics as well.

It was all to promote the Ravens’ “Making the Cut” event at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric on Saturday, March 17th from 4-7 p.m.

Approximately 90 cheer finalists will perform dance and stunt skills on stage in front of a live audience. Candidates are selected and eliminated down to the final 60-person squad. Last year’s event drew more than 650 fans. Tickets are $17 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Since the 2012 squad hasn’t been formed yet, the Ravens relied on team veterans to execute the flash mob. They had more than 35 female and male performers involved. The group began practicing their routine in early February and performed to “Turn Me On” by David Guetta and Nicki Minaj.
