The Ravens brought up Josh Bynes from the practice squad Saturday afternoon, giving themselves additional support at linebacker in case Jameel McClain or Brendon Ayanbadejo can’t play in Sunday’s divisional playoff game versus Houston.

McClain is recovering from a sprained knee and Ayanbadejo has a thigh injury. Both are listed as questionable to play and will be game-time decisions, said Head Coach John Harbaugh.

McClain said on Friday that he’s preparing to play.

It’s Bynes’ second stint on the Ravens’ active roster. He was up for the Ravens’ Week 12 game against San Francisco when linebackers Ray Lewis and Dannell Ellerbe were out.
The undrafted free agent and former national champion at Auburn last year has been up and down for the Ravens all season.
He was a bubble cut by Baltimore after training camp, then was signed to the practice squad on Nov. 9 and brought up on Nov. 23. He was released six days later, then signed back to the practice squad two days after that.
The Ravens released offensive tackle D.J. Jones to make room for Bynes on the active roster. He was on the practice squad for a couple months before getting the call up to active duty on Dec. 27.
