The Ravens didn’t have to resort to the fallback option at kicker.

The Baltimore Ravens didn’t have to resort to the “backup plan” at kicker.

After missing practice Thursday and Friday, Pro Bowl kicker Billy Cundiff is active for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

He was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report with a left calf injury, but is expected to play after giving it a few days of rest.

“It’s not a major thing,” Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh said Friday about the injury. “Basically his calf cramped up.”

The Ravens had looked at fallback options at kicker, reportedly including veteran Shayne Graham, in the event that Cundiff wasn’t able to play. With Cundiff healthy enough to play, Baltimore ended up not having to make a late signing.

The bad news for the Ravens is that they will once again be without linebacker Ray Lewis, who will miss his fourth straight game with a turf toe injury.

With Lewis on the sidelines, third-year linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is expected to start in his place.

“You have to take everything into consideration,” Harbaugh said on Friday when asked about Lewis’ injury. “Maybe he could have played the last couple weeks, maybe we decided to just mitigate the risk.”

Baltimore has won three straight games with Lewis on the sidelines.

The Ravens defense will also be without veteran cornerback Chris Carr, who will miss his third-straight game with a back injury.

The other inactives for Baltimore include rookie wide receivers LaQuan Williams and Tandon Doss, running back Anthony Allen, outside linebacker Chavis Williams and nose tackle Brandon McKinney.

Second-year linebacker Sergio Kindle is active for Baltimore for the second time this season. He was also active in Week 4 against the New York Jets, but that was only because every healthy player on the team was up for the game.

For the Colts, they will be without quarterback Peyton Manning, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, defensive back Mike Holmes, linebackers A.J. Edds and Kevin Bentley, offensive tackle Quinn Ojinnaka, and defensive end Jerry Hughes.

Tight end Dallas Clark, who missed three consecutive games with a fibula injury, is active for Indianapolis.
