The Baltimore Ravens are going with their alternate black jerseys and white pants for Thursday night’s primetime game against the San Francisco 49ers.

It will be the second time this season that the Ravens have worn their black jerseys, with the first coming in a dominating performance over the New York Jets in Week 4 on Sunday Night Football. The Ravens also went with black pants against the Jets, as opposed to the black-and-white look they will wear Thursday.

“The old adage, ‘you look good, you play good,’ and I think everyone looks good when we’re in black,” Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta said. “I think guys generally get excited about it.”

The results on the field have been positive when Baltimore has donned the black uniforms.

The Ravens are 8-2 all-time in the black jerseys, including 5-0 during the John Harbaugh era.

“It’s just a different feel with the black jerseys,” cornerback Cary Williams said.

The all-black look is the preferred option, Williams said, but the black tops and white pants still look good, especially for a night game.

“It’s going to be a physical game, just one of those typical Ravens games where you just expect us to come out hot and that’s what the uniforms are,” Williams said. “We got hot uniforms.”
