It was a scary sight in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game seeing both safety Ed Reed and nose tackle Terrence Cody hit the turf.

But Ravens fans need not fret. Both suffered just shoulder/neck stingers and were okay on Tuesday, Head Coach John Harbaugh said.

The two players were going after Jaguars running back Deji Karim in the backfield when they crumpled to the ground after running into one another.

Cody walked off first under his own power. Reed stayed on the ground longer but eventually got up and rotated his arm, showing he had full movement.

Both players returned to the game.

“Kind of helmet-to-helmet with somebody,” Cody told reporters. “Neck kind of went numb and stuff. I was holding my right arm because my shoulder went numb. So it just felt weird out there.”

Cody said it took about five minutes for the feeling to return in his arm. Reed returned to the game after missing just one mandatory play.

“It’s a bad feeling. I couldn’t move my arm,” Reed said.

“It was just one of those moments where you just can’t do anything about it. I’ll get it looked at. It feels great. I had to come out the one play, but they were just testing my strength.”
