Some of the most-heated rivalries in the NFL will be highlighted this weekend, and the league is doing it in the name of fashion.

As part of the second NFL Women’s Apparel: Fit for You collection’s latest ad blitz, Ingrid and Sarah Harbaugh – the wives of Ravens Head Coach John and San Francisco 49ers Coach Jim, respectively – are featured in a new digital experience highlighting their team’s clothing and on-field competition.

Several models were present during New York Fashion Week at the Badgley Mischka show Tuesday with other wives and daughters of NFL owners, coaches and executives.

Included in the group were New York Jets Owner Woody Johnson’s wife, Suzanne, who is shown in a matchup with Gwen Reese, wife of New York Giants General Manager Jerry Reese, and Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones’ daughter, Charlotte Jones Anderson, with Washington Redskins Owner Daniel Snyder’s wife, Tanya.

With women comprising 44 percent of the league’s fans, the NFL is offering even more stylish apparel and has expanded the line to include beauty products and accessories.

“We have such a robust female fan base,” Tracey Bleczinski, the NFL’s Vice President of Consumer Products told the New York Post. “Our female fans want to show that they’re fans, but they want to do it in a unique way.”

The photo shoot occurred in July, with the Harbaugh ladies donning fur coats and fashion magazine-ready Ravens and 49ers shirts.

The NFL is reaching out to female followers by placing ads in rags like Cosmo and Vogue, and the microsite on NFL.com women is now live.

For each week of the season, a new NFL rivalry will be highlighted, including the story behind that rivalry, a Q&A with the fans showcasing the looks of the week and a breakdown of all rivalry styles.

The Harbaugh brothers – and their wives – will be highlighted when their teams square off on Thanksgiving.
