The Ravens kept their practice squad well-rounded with the addition of eight players on Sunday, which include:
RB Damien Berry (Rookie, Miami)
G/C Justin Boren (Rookie, Ohio State)
QB Hunter Cantwell (1st Year, Louisville)
DB Danny Gorrer (2nd Year, Texas A&M)
DT Bryan Hall (Rookie, Arkansas State)
FB Ryan Mahaffey (Rookie, Northern Iowa)
S Mana Silva (Rookie, Hawaii)
LB Chavis Williams (Rookie, Alabama)
After Saturday’s final roster cut down to 53, all NFL teams were able to sign players to their practice squad, which will serve as the developmental team.
The Ravens have utilized their practice squad in the past. With Matt Birk down due to a knee injury, former practice-squadder Bryan Mattison has taken all the snaps at starting center this preseason.
In addition, Cantwell was a critical cog in the Ravens’ 21-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the Ravens’ preseason finale last week, subbing for an injured Tyrod Taylor.
