The Ravens signed wide receivers T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Donte’ Stallworth each to one-year contracts last offseason.
After a season in which their stats dropped, Harbaugh was asked by a fan whether he expects them to return for 2011.
“The answers is that I don’t really know,” Harbaugh said Wednesday night during a Ravens Fan Forum.
“You can’t really put a percentage basis on it because there are so many things up in the air at this time. There are obviously a lot of issues that haven’t been a part of the equation in the past. It’s just a different calendar now with free agency.”
Harbaugh is referring to the expired collective bargaining agreement, which has put free agency on hold until there’s a new CBA in place. Even then, new rules could change who’s on the market.
Either way, Houshmandzadeh and Stallworth will both be unrestricted free agents. The veterans have each expressed a desire to return to Baltimore, but Stallworth said he would be looking for more play-making opportunities.
Stallworth recorded two receptions for 82 yards and Houshmandzadeh posted 30 receptions for 398 yards, his lowest totals since his rookie year in 2001.
“I like all those guys,” Harbaugh said. “As a coach, you want all the good players you can get. You like having veteran players too. It’s not always possible to keep all those guys.
“So I just don’t know. We’ll just have to see.”
