The Ravens have relieved Offensive Line Coach John Matsko of his duties moving forward.

The Ravens’ offensive line was challenged before the season even began when potential starting right tackle Jared Gaither was lost for the year with a back injury, forcing natural guard Marshal Yanda out to the edge and putting center/guard Chris Chester into the starting lineup.

Baltimore also allowed quarterback Joe Flacco to be sacked 40 times (tied for seventh-most in the NFL) during the regular season and nine more in the playoffs.

The Ravens also fell from the NFL’s fifth-ranked rushing attack of 2009 to the 14th unit in 2010. The Ravens’ average yards per carry (3.8) was tied for 25th in the league.

A report in the Baltimore Sun tabbed Assistant Offensive Line Coach Andy Moeller as a likely replacement.
