For the second time this year, Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington was deactivated, this time for Monday night’s matchup with the Houston Texans.

Washington, who was a healthy scratch, started Baltimore’s first eight games, but was replaced by Josh Wilson in Week 10.

Since then, Wilson and Chris Carr have been the Ravens’ first-team corners.

The Ravens will also miss the contributions of tight end Todd Heap, who is inactive with a thigh injury.

Heap didn’t practice all week after pulling up short in last Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rookie Ed Dickson will start in Heap’s place, his second start of the year (two tight end set vs. Buffalo Bills on Dec. 24).

The Ravens also deactivated fullback Jason McKie, linebackers Jason Phillips and Dannell Ellerbe, defensive tackles Lamar Divens and Arthur Jones, and guard/center Bryan Mattison.

For Houston, Matt Leinart will be the third quarterback.  Their inactive list includes wideout Dorin Dickerson, tight ends Anthony Hill and Garrett Graham, guards Shelley Smith and Kasey Studdard, safety Quintin Demps, and cornerback Bruce McCann.

And even though Owen Daniels is returning from a five-week hiatus with a pulled hamstring, Joel Dreessen will start at tight end for the Texans.
