For the second consecutive week, the Ravens deactivated defensive tackle Brandon McKinney prior to kickoff after the 350-pound run stuffer started the four games previous to that.

And even though the Ravens are facing talented Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner, McKinney is only one of three defensive tackles who are inactive, joining Lamar Divens and rookie Arthur Jones.

Turner is on a hot streak, having topped 100 yards in four of his last six contests.  Last week, he totaled 107 rush yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.  Prior to that, “the Burner” went off for 121 yards and two scores on 23 attempts.

The Ravens’ 13th-ranked run defense will rely on only three defensive tackles – Haloti Ngata, Kelly Gregg and rookie Terrence Cody to hold the line of scrimmage.

In addition to the Ravens’ linemen, offensive tackle Scott Kooistra, safety Ken Hamlin, linebacker Jason Phillips and tight end Dennis Pitta are inactive.

For the Falcons, the biggest question mark was two-time Pro Bowl receiver Roddy White, who was questionable this week with a knee injury. White will play Thursday night, as Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith anticipated.

Atlanta will use John Parker Wilson as their third quarterback, while cornerback Dominique Franks, linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, offensive tackle Garrett Reynolds, guard Mike Johnson, tight end Justin Peele, defensive end Lawrence Sidbury and defensive tackle Trey Lewis are inactive.

Stephen Nicholas will start at linebacker for Weatherspoon.
