Tom Zbikowski missed Wednesday’s session with a foot injury, but Head Coach John Harbaugh said the safety has “a shot” to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills after the team received “good news” from a magnetic resonance imaging exam.

“It truly is going to be day to day,” said Head Coach John Harbaugh.  ”Zibby’s got a shot.  He’s got a heel situation.”

Zbikowski bruised his heel late in the Ravens’ loss to the New England Patriots and was eventually pulled from action.

“I never felt anything like that,” Zbikowski told reporters on Wednesday.  ”Not that it was that painful, it wasn’t that painful. It was just a different kind of feeling that I’ve never felt and it was in that area.”

In addition to Zbikowski, tight end Todd Heap also did not practice with a neck injury.  He left the Patriots game for a few plays after being leveled with a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Brandon Meriweather, which earned Meriweather a $50,000 fine from the NFL.

“Todd has a shot,” added Harbaugh, referring to the Bills game.  ”I think Todd will be there, but you never know what can come up.”

The Ravens officially deactivated offensive tackle Jared Gaither (back), linebacker Tavares Gooden (shoulder) and wideout Donte’ Stallworth (foot) for Week 7.

Linebacker Jarret Johnson (back), defensive end Paul Kruger (knee), wideout Derrick Mason (ankle/finger), safety Haruki Nakamura (back), running back Ray Rice (ankle), receiver Marcus Smith (back) and cornerback Josh Wilson (thigh) were all limited, while linebacker Edgar Jones (thigh) fully participated.

For the Bills, starting offensive tackle Cornell Green (knee) and cornerback Terrence McGee (back) were held out of Wednesday practice.  Linebackers Keith Ellison (knee) and Arthur Moats (elbow), and nose tackle Kyle Williams (ankle) were limited.

Buffalo tight end Shawn Nelson (groin) and safety Bryan Scott (knee) fully participated.
