Anquan Boldin won the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for his three-touchdown, 142-yard performance against the Browns on Sunday.

So what do you think of getting such an honor, Anquan?

“It doesn’t matter,” he flatly said.

That was the end of his feelings.

Boldin has been to three Pro Bowls (2003, 2006, 2008) and won the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2003. So a player of the week award doesn’t rank high on his mantle.

Asked what the reward is for being named player of the week, Boldin laughed and said, “Just a mention.”

So what reward would you prefer?

“Another day off,” Boldin replied, inciting more laughter.
