The Ravens waived two backup linemen Tuesday morning, center/guard David Hale and guard/tackle Stefan Rodgers.

Both players were placed on Injured Reserve when the Ravens paired down the roster to 53. The Ravens have reached an injury settlement with both players.

Hale suffered a bruised tailbone when defensive tackle Haloti Ngata landed on him during an Aug. 16 training camp practice and hasn’t practiced since. The former fourth-round pick was entering his third season for the Ravens after playing in 18 games over two seasons, mostly on special teams.

Rodgers battled an ankle injury throughout camp and the preseason. The 6-foot-5 tackle spent all of last season on the Ravens’ practice squad. Prior to that, he spent two years on IR in Philadelphia.

The Ravens now have four players remaining on IR, including cornerback Domonique Foxworth, tackle Ramon Harewood, center Daniel Sanders and nose tackle Kelly Talavou.
