The Ravens managed to stay within the 75-man roster limit even with the addition of cornerback Josh Wilson by placing fullback Mike McLaughlin on Injured Reserve.

McLaughlin hadn’t practiced for the past few days, and now will be finished for the season due to a hip injury.

In addition, Wilson, the University of Maryland product that returned to his homestate, passed his physical, making his placement on the roster official.

McLaughlin was making a tough transition from college linebacker at Boston College to NFL fullback.

The 6-foot, 245-pound undrafted free agent was solid during training camp, but did not have much of a chance to surpass two-time Pro Bowler Le’Ron McClain at his position.

McLaughlin recorded one carry for four yards and one catch for seven yards during the preseason.
