Reports of Ramon Harewood’s signing were confirmed today as the rookie right tackle has officially inked his deal. It was previously reported to be a three-year contract.

With the signing, Harewood – the 6-foot-6, 341-pound behemoth from Morehouse – becomes the first NFL player from Barbados.

Harewood is currently seen as more of a developmental project at right tackle. The Ravens’ sixth-round pick has only played organized football for three years and a minor knee injury during organized team activities didn’t help.

Harewood participated in individual drills by the end of OTAs and expects to be back at 100 percent by training camp.

The Ravens now only have their two second-round selections, outside linebacker Sergio Kindle and nose tackle Terrence Cody, left unsigned.
