Ray Rice announced to the world – or at least anybody online Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. – his goals for the 2010 season: to win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award and the Super Bowl.

Wearing a black sweatshirt and black Baltimore Orioles hat, the Ravens’ Pro Bowl running back chatted with fans who were submitting random questions on Rice’s channel, Ray Rizzle tv, of the streaming chat website USTREAM.

I didn’t catch the entire chat, but what I saw was harmless, hilarious joking – which is exactly what I would expect from the 23-year-old running back.

But near the end of the chat, Rice got somewhat serious, leaned forward and looked straight into his webcam.

“Ray Rice – MVP this year,” he said. “I made the Pro Bowl [last] year. I’m not being selfish; I’m going after the MVP this year.

“Excuse me for having fun right now. Because when I get back to work, it’s all business. I’m so serious.”

Rice then elaborated.

“I’m trying to win the MVP and win the Super Bowl,” he said. “That’s my goals for next year. Baltimore needs a Super Bowl out there. We were a couple games away two years straight. I’m tired of that. We gotta win this Super Bowl.”
