It didn’t take AFC head coach Norv Turner long to go to Ravens running back Ray Rice, even though he’s third on the depth chart behind Chris Johnson (Tennessee) and Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville).
After Johnson was heavily used on the AFC’s first two drives, Rice entered the game on his team’s third drive in the first quarter. Unfortunately, it didn’t go so well.
The first play was a screen to Rice, which he made a nice adjustment to catch, but lost nine yards on. Rice then caught a third-down underneath pass for 12 yards, but it was seven yards short of the first down.
