Ed Reed isn’t playing in the Pro Bowl, but his spirit was felt.
After Denver safety Brian Dawkins intercepted a third quarter Donovan McNabb pass, Dawkins lateraled to teammate Champ Bailey. Bailey took it 16 yards, then tried to lateral it again, but the ball bounced off a defender back to Bailey. He attempted to lateral it one more time, but was finally ruled down.
Reed, who is not playing because of injuries sustained over the course of the season, must be proud.
In other news, Le’Ron McClain cleared the way for Maurice Jones-Drew as the AFC took a 31-24 lead. McClain stood up and drove back Vikings special teamer Heath Farwell, who was playing linebacker at the time.
