Former Ravens head coach Brian Billick will be in Baltimore this weekend to work with the team he helmed for nine seasons.
Billick, who was released from the Ravens after a 5-11 campaign in 2007, will serve as an analyst for the FOX broadcast of the Ravens-Chicago Bears game at M&T Bank on Sunday.
It will be the first time Billick has tackled a Ravens game as an analyst since, a job that includes in-depth interviews with key players and current Ravens coach John Harbaugh in the days leading up to kickoff.
Harbaugh has interacted with Billick in their current roles already this season, as the coaches previously discussed football on Billick’s “CoachSpeak” show on FOXSports.com. On one episode, Billick even recorded an interview at the Ravens’ training facility in Owings Mills, Md.
“I’m excited about it,” said Harbaugh in his Monday news conference. “We’ve had a chance to talk to Brian pretty much every other Monday because of the show he does, the coach’s show. We’ve had some great conversations. As a matter of fact, we taped it one time here in the building. We have a great relationship with Brian, Brian has a great relationship with the Ravens, and it’ll be, I think, a fun part of the whole deal.”
Billick will be working with play-by-play man Thom Brennaman and sideline reporter Chris Myers.
