The Ravens surrendered a 44-yard field goal to Steelers kicker Jeff Reed after linebacker Jarret Johnson missed a key tackle on a routine pass to running back Rashard Mendenhall.
Mendenhall was alone in the right flat, where quarterback Dennis Dixon found him with room to spare. Johnson met him, but whiffed on the hit, and Mendenhall ran for 20 yards before he was finally brought down.
Mendenhall ran for 4 more yards to set up the field goal, even though the Steelers had an open shot to Mike Wallace in the end zone that Dixon overthrew.
