The Ravens set most of their practice squad Sunday, filling it with seven players who excelled in offseason workouts and training camp but did not make Saturday’s cut.

Those who cleared waivers and were assigned to the Ravens’ practice squad are wide receivers Eron Riley and Justin Harper, tackles Stefan Rodgers and Joe Reitz, offensive/defensive lineman Bryan Mattison, linebacker/defensive end William VanDeSteeg, and safety K.J. Gerard.

Three players cut by the Ravens were claimed by other teams during the waivers period and added to their respective active rosters.

Running back Cedric Peerman was claimed by the Cleveland Browns, tight end Davon Drew was picked up by the Miami Dolphins and wide receiver/return specialist Yamon Figurs is headed to the Detroit Lions.

Peerman and Drew were drafted by the Ravens this year while Figurs played two seasons with the Ravens after being selected in the third round of the 2007 draft.

The practice squad is made up of eight players so the Ravens will complete the team next week.
